Linux game mapping tool

Anyone know of a good linux based mapping tool?

Something to create/edit large gaming maps.
(with a built in char editor, if possible)

Thanks

If it should be for C64/C128 maps, I can recommend CharPad. It runs on Linux via WINE:
https://subchristsoftware.itch.io/charpad-free-edition
https://subchristsoftware.itch.io/charpad-pro

I was using the free edition for a long time but I bought the Pro version last year to support the creator and to have the copy&paste functionality between different instances.

Large maps are possible due to the tile system.
