lvllvl.com is no more
Hey everyone. The day has eventually come. lvllvl.com site is no more. This has been expected since its author, James has passed away. This is an excellent tool. I used it a lot on my releases. It is available though at https://jaammees.itch.io/lvllvl but for how long? I am very concerned about this. I would like to ask if anyone has an offline software version of it. I know it is on GitHub but I don't know how to make an executable file out of this. Any help is appreciated. |

You can download it from Github and upload the dist folder somewhere. Works fine it seems.

ChatGPZ that's right! That's what I am looking for. A way
"build" it to run offline. Hein, didn't know that. Thank you! At least it can be uploaded on another site. But still have to rely on the internet. Full offline conversion would be the best :) |

Local VM or Docker?
Maybe someone cares to prepare that for you :) |

You can run a (any) web server locally and place all dist files in there, works as well. Or what Count Zero said.
Oh, there are some files that are being fetched from Google, so I guess that's not really offline. :) |

Another question is - who registered lvllvl.com now and can paste the preferred cryptominer into the JS files? :)
Someone responsible raise his hand - taking over search engine hits? |

Great tool, it has a ton of hidden features.
Should be possible to pack it into an app using https://www.electronjs.org/ |

Digger: It's possible, but painful. Petmate is an electron/js application. If anyone wants help doing it.. drop me a line |

What do you mean "no more" - we just forgot to pay the hosting bill :)
James as we all know passed away earlier this year - all of his projects and associated servers require a hefty monthly hosting bill .. and the big question is who is going to pay that looking forwards to the future.
His C64 NFT projects I think have a lot of back end ..

James registered it - the coder and creator, and he passed away as mentioned. |

Exactly. I have read somewhere months ago that now that James passed away, the lvllvl site will eventually be down some day. The day I make the post the site was down so I thought this day came. But fortunately the site is up and running again. But besides that I think it would be great for anyone using this tool to be able to use it offline without worrying about the internet. At least for me this is an excellent tool. I love it :) If at least you can use it by loading it locally to a browser as mentioned that would be great too. Haven't tried it yet. |
