How to convert parts of Koala/Windows Bitmap (BMP) file to a C64 Sprite image object
Hi,
Is there a tool that would allow for boxing a part from a koala picture and turn it into sprite image objects of 3x byte horizontal and 21 lines vertical per sprite object?
Maybe even a tool that would be able to turn many boxed areas into a sprite animation?
Or is there a PC tool that would do the same as described with the koala picture above, just instead maybe from a jpg or bmp file as input format?

for Koala to sprite my tool is BASIC V2.
But you will most probably need also a color fixer tool, since the resulting sprites will be a 3 colors + background image, so you need to convert the Koala to 3 colors + background format, so that you have only 1 color for $d800 RAM color, 1 color for high part of screen colors and 1 color for low part of screen colors. I use this: Convert-Studio |

It seems every production I make requires conversion to some new formats, so I typically hack up a python script.
I have one on file that may do what you want, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/100285676/sprconv.py
