Member Status: Unknown...
Would be nice if you added "unknown" to the member status. When adding sceners (for crediting them in releases) I mostly don't know the status. I put them active then, that's the best of the possibly-wrong options. I would have a better feeling, though, if I could put "unknown" as a status, that would be the most honest entry.
It also makes it easier for others to see and maybe change it afterwards. |

When people click on the sceners'name (at the credits place), they can see if the scener is still active or not. Otherwise the database is going to be chaotic and not interactive anymore.

It's by far not my intention to take away interactivity from the database. I think you didn't get my point:
The credo of people adding to the database is that they only add information they are 100% sure about. So when I add a release and want to add credits for it (according to the notefile, for example) I sometimes have to add a new scener that is not in the database yet. Now I have three options: Setting him active/inactive or as a former member of the group that released the demo. If I'm not sure about the status, what should I do? Status "unknown" would be the best option, at least better than leaving someone out of the credits just because you don't know if he's still in the group or not. See what I mean? |

for old scene productions etc. just put in an ex member sign, since most groups are dead on c64. if the people are active they will correct it themselfs, since most people use the net anywayz... it will all correct itsself eventually

Celtic is right! It all corrects itself. If someone knows something about someone/something, then he can correct it.
100 % sure is nobody, but it is the meaning that we all do our best in this database to make it a nice c64-archive. |
