Specific Release Dates: Groups

For archival purposes, within a release list of a group, there should be a day and month next to the year released.

No, you only see the year in the group's releaselist.
IMO it's not necessary either.
It's okay as it is now.

Geez! How on-topic this is. pfff

Anyway, they are not "disappeared" (did you see Hans Klok logged in? Well, I didn't =). The release-dates were incorrect.
The release-dates should be the day when the actual compo was going on.
For the gfx+music compos at X the releasedate is 25-10 and not 26-10.

Solved.

actually the release date should be the day when it was released - as in "available for the general public". doesnt matter when the compo was held :) (that said, i have no idea if the stuff was spread right after the compos.... but the release date of that booze design demo for example should NOT be the date of the compo, but the date when the demo actually will get released)

but err...what was the point again? =D

Generally I think we could use some more details in various tables. E.g. when you search for sceners you only get the handle/name and not group(s). If the info is there and there's space for it, please show it.

@Scout: we were talking about release-dates, but next time i'll open a new threat for topic-related farts ;-) Thanx for the kindly answers, Scoutebout & Groupaz :)

Ontopic: it's fine like it is now. Just click the release for more detailed info. Listings should not be too detailed IMHO.

okok, added to the todo list:
More details in various tables
Description: quoting cruzer: "Generally I think we could use some more details in various tables.
[...] If the info is there and there's space for it, please show it."
Complexity: Simple
Progress: 0%
- on the groups page FULL dates should be shown, not only the year
- when displaying search results for a "scener" search, show his group too

more? :)

After imagining what it would look like on screen, I must agree with TPM and Scout. It is fine the way it is. For casual observation, having such extra details on full dates and group names can cause screen clutter and be uncomfortable to the eye.
An alternative to this that would accommodate everyone would be to have a view option. The option for a member to select between a concise view and a full view. For instance a concise view would be as it is and and full view would show full release dates, group names next to handles and other features.
Given the fact that we can select between Normal, Demo scene, Crack scene and Custom CDSb view mode, a 'sub view' mode can easily be implemented.

oh gawd yes. this will make finding sceners so much easier... have you ever tried searching for mirage? ;_)

(and sure, they might have their realnames filled in, but that still doesn't help me as I don't know most people's realname, and often this information is missing ;_) )
