Scanning of papermags

Hi,

I have a few papermags that I would like to scan and upload. Do anybody have a suggestion in which format?

Regards,

I don't know what the mags look like, but if OCR is an option at all I suggest the Hybrid PDF format (dunno what it is called really) which stores both (a) an image of what the page look like, and (b) tie OCR'ed text data to that, so you can still make selections in the document and cut/paste and so on. The best of two worlds...

I use this at work for scanning a lot of older research articles and books (illegaly! Hoho, I'm a pirate!!) and it works very well. Software to be used is Adobe Acrobate Pro.

On the other hand, that depends on how well OCR routines would work on the papermags you got.

Well, when I browsed the mag archive at cupid.de I saw that all mags already was uploaded. So I´ll just frame the ones I have and put them on the wall :)
