The question is, can you still state the obvious in 2008? I guess we'll find out soon enough (a simple 'yes' to my question will suffice). |

Well, 'gay' initially means 'vrolijk', so it has both meanings, that's the reason for this slogan.
Nothing special about Burglar stating the obvious, that's the only thing a village idiot can do except putting out lame nonsense. So what! |

Oh noes, seems we have a leecher here...
Perff, integrate that function to automatically generate a zip file with all CSDb screenshots. Of course it should be updated daily. ;-) |

spindizzy,
just use the webservice:
for example:
http://noname.c64.org/csdb/webservice/?type=release&id=55666&de..
gives you:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<CSDbData><Release><ID>55666</ID>
<Name>Nodule +4 [pal/ntsc]</Name>
<Type>C64 Crack</Type>
<ReleaseYear>1995</ReleaseYear>
<ScreenShot>htt*://noname.c64.org/csdb/gfx/releases/55000/55666.png</ScreenShot>
</Release>
</CSDbData>
perfect to use it for your own leech script!
oh, and do not forget to limit your requests! so we can still work here :) |

Was this supposed to be revealed?
Besides that, it's quite unusable for somebody who doesn't know about "right-click-save-as" in browsers :P |

Wow, I never knew about the webservice before. Nice :)
On a related note, I notice that with depth level 1, there's no download links for the release, but with level 2 you get all kinds of extra info (like details about the party, groups and people that worked on a prod). I'm missing a level in between, or some way you can specify which kinds of links you want to traverse.
Actually, double checking now and it seems like even on level 1 the "event" link is followed. Is this how it's intended to be? |

study http://noname.c64.org/csdb/webservice
then ask perff in the/a thread :)
i never cared much about depth, i just raised it until it inherited the needed data :) |
