Crossfire, you might better take care of what you say about the US-government, just in case you don't plan to spend your next vacation with a bag over your head in a cage on Guantanamo Bay. ;) |

Yeah, I see what you mean....we cannot really state our opinions without asking the government for permission, that's the free world for you - BUT....for the next four years it seems we have to bite our tongues, hope there is a day after and atleast find comfort in the fact that Bush cannot run again IF there is a planet in four years ;-) |

This explains how so many Americans could have been dumb enough to vote for Bush again:

I think it is a shame that you have absolutely nothing on Sex'n'Crime that is c64 related. I'd prefer politics be kept out of the scene. It would be silly to break up friendships over such a thing, and no doubt the politics of today hasn't been as toxic EVER. All the more reason to ignore it, debate it outside of the scene, and otherwise open up another can of beer. That is much easier to swallow than having to explain why I think you're so utterly wrong on every single issue ;)
Cheers! |

Oliver: yeh, I'm quite politically motivated also and love a good debate. But I would recommend to step into the oldschool vein and have Sex'n'Crime online as C64 related only. I would be happy to donate some C64 articles and I'm sure you could gather them from certain people.

Debate? You want some debates? :)
I could probably whip up a frenzy of c64 debates for Sex N Crime lol.

Wanderer: I mean more in someone writes an article, then someone counters that article and so on. The scene in 2005 is dominated by the LEGAL section (demos, etc), so our discussions on the cracking times would be limited, except for historical rantings, which are always good (and needed for these uninitiated newbies ;))

I also love a good political debate, but I really just don't think the c64 scene is the place for it. It may sound strange coming from a former FairLighter who happily killed a commie for mommy (heh) but even so, I still think pushing ones propaganda in either direction through a c64 magazine goes against everything I believe the scene to be about. Reminds me of why I never liked Revealed quite frankly. Marxist drivel. Sex'n'Crime was a great magazine, yes, but it is absolutely NOTHING like the online version. That's like me bringing back The Pulse Online and making it about pottery. Would you visit? I thought not. |

Debbie: I'd never have voted for Bush either but he's turning out to be a good thing for the middle east (Libanon for instance, has benefitted greatly from Bush putting pressure on syria.) Of course, it's all just coincidental, Bush hasn't got a clue...
Just my 2 cents,
L8r ;-)
