New Breadbin cases

Just in case someone missed it:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/commodore-64-breadbin-case-y..

With the usual warnings: might be scam, will probably be very late, shipping and VAT is unknown etc.

For pixelling with the cursor keys, I always found the C64C keyboard a lot more comfortable than the breadbin one. Nothing beats a C128D keyboard resting in my lap, though.

I do like the colours they've picked, the purple and green cases are extremely tempting, and the blue/red/clear options are nice as well, but I'm worried about the shipping costs.

For some of us, it would make for much lower shipping :D

Booo! ;)

It's a shame they went for the inferior vic-20 style case though, ...

Though I loved my C64C in the 80s, I learned to prefer the breadbin cases because the flat case can get you in trouble with some modifications

I do like the colours they've picked

What I don't get is why they picked the dull grey F-keys instead of the fancy orange ones which provide the true (Sesame) Street Credibility

OMG! If you haven't already clicked that link, then DON'T DO IT!!

I just watched a lyrics breakdown of the classic "Hotel California" by the Eagles and it very much reminds me of what happened when i clicked that link a above. I short, it looks harmless and appealing at the beginning but you can never make the things you have seen *unseen*.. it may be too late when (if) you finally decide to leave.

That bad? :)

I never understood the appeal of colourful mods, blinkenlights or perversely exposed circuitry via transparent cases... but whatever floats their boat, i guess? =) If anything, you can spot lamers easier by just looking at their gear. :D

Hm, this looks better than the video! That said I probably prefer textured even for transparent...

Still Ultimate YAWN?
