hmmm. I use windwos 98 and it works fine ! 1541 Dive must be on warp mode.

The windows XP version fucked up,because i have the XM Cable. The XE cable is better for this,i think.

I have had some major problems with star commander and windows xp, cant get it to detect the 1541 at all under xp, if i boot from a dos disk it will detect the 1541 but it will detect my cdrom but not my hard disk.

Now i know this sounds a bit long winded but its the only way i can get it to work : copy what you want to transfer to cd, boot from the dos boot disk and then transfer from cd to the 1541.

If anyone knows how to get it to detect my hard disk or work under xp i would be most happy!!

If it makes any difference i use the xm-1541 cable?

Yes that an ok program but is there a way to get it to show when there are errors on the disc like the dos version?

You need a dos-disk with NTSF drivers on it so you can read the HD.. I remember there's this page with dozens of different bootdisks on it, and I'm pretty sure there's one that allows dos to read the NTSF disks..
