Grandmix of The Gee tunes 2003

The Gee/XeNTaX/(Hitmen) got married in 2003 and I secretly created the The Gee Grandmix 2003 to honour him at the wedding. I was also in the middle of writing my thesis at the time, so it could (even ;) ) have been better given more time, but I was satisfied with the end result.

It was played during the diner (much to the surprise of many guests who'd obviously had never heard about SID) and The Gee was very happy with it (he listened to it for weeks after the wedding lol).

Anyway, thought I might share it here. Ben Liebrand used to create these pop Grandmixes at the end of each year during the 80's and 90's in The Netherlands, and I borrowed the opening count-down and the background drums from one of his mixes. I recorded The Gee's tunes from the early 90s to use in the mix.

Very nice ! I remember it well.
Strange sight to see everyone eating in a large diningroom with the old Gee sidtunes playing in the back. It was an excellent gift !!
