Voting...

Hi.

Maybe we could get a vote-system, where coders vote for code in a demo, graphicians for gfx etc... Then calculate some kind of weighted average.... Also hangaround-sceners could vote for their opinion... Yes, I know... It's impossible... :)

allowing less people to vote will not help this system either.
What would help (of course) is following the idea I mentioned recently in NEW vote-algo on present vote-data L@@K ;-)

Let's just abandon voting, it's antiquated.

Voting is good for many purposes. There have been many and varied views on the voting system. Some complain about down voting. Everyone has an opinion. The voting system is perfectly intact and fully functional. The way to improve the voting system is to have more people vote. If everyone will take a moment to vote for your favorite person, group or creation you feel like voting for, the more that the voting system will be what it is ideally designed for. The more votes there are, the wider the variety of views are expressed, the more balanced the votes will be, the more people will feel comfortable with the final result.

Learned MC the hard way, 25 years ago or so, using a MC-Monitor hacking games. My first lines of MC looked liked this:

.1000 EE 16 D0 INC $D016
.1003 4C 00 10 JMP $1000

I was the first one to open the sideborder... EDIT: *yawn*

Jesus fuck, how fucking hard is it to use the fucking search? There have been over 8000 threads on this already and fuck all has changed, so it's doubtfull it ever will.

I for one think a thumb up/down system like on pouet would work fine, but I doubt it'll ever get implemented.

Thanks for going "bayesian" (read: beserk), see you on pouet. Indeed: a forum search will suffice.
