80 Column DYCP on C128

This was inspired by the other 80 column thread. Are there any examples of an 80 column DYCP on the 128? I think this would look pretty impressive. If not, can someone put one together? :)

How about coding an 80 column DYCP on the c64? Even more impressive looking would be a proportional dycp...on either the c64 or the 128.

Or to get even crazier with it, change y positions in each vertical pixel line in the chars, as in a sine scroller (or dypp).

Eighty! was pretty much what I was looking for. I'm actually surprised, the 160 char DYCP doesn't look that bad considering the interlace.

I agree that a proportional sized font DYCP would look nice. It could get a little tricky if using basic sin patterns, as you'd have to dictate the Y position based on where the char appears on the screen to make it look smooth.

I also think Electron did one. Not sure what demo, but I'll get on it.

Got on it...

Jungle

Also has sprites bouncing on top of the 80 col. dycp in tangent to the dycp.. Cool effect it was...

Empire was working on a demo that was never finished, but they did release a preview and it includes, from memory, an 80 column DYCP. Don't have the time to check at the moment.

Wonder why no one has made a sideborder version of Disckiller's 160 chars DYCP, which could bring it up to about 192. That would be a pretty easy record to break.
