Wanted: Music from Fairlight´s intro
Heya m8s :)
I´ve just found this nice page and registered for watching who´s around and what things are written in here..
So hope you do not mind if I´m starting right out with a request for a music file, which I heard when beeing active on the C64 and never forgot until today, I´m honest ;D
I´m talking of the music of fairlight´s famous intro...
dum dum dum, dum dum dum...
Any one is able to supply this music as a mp3-file to me? Would be very glad and more than thankful!
Thanx for your reading and helping out in advance!
Greetz to all of you

Hi,
If this is the muzak I think of its the one of the game Druid2.
You can convert it to PC format (wav) then MP3 using a 64 emulator or use a SID player on Windows and listen to the music in its original format.

Hey kamelito!
LOL, thanx a lot for this nice and more than fast supply!
M8, years ago I´ve loved this tune and thinking of it always made me smile all the time until today... I looked for it for a long time did not find the tune (did not even know that this is from Druid2, a dumphead I am), more than glad it´s time to get it now...
A very very big thanx to you, and I hope one day I could do something for you in return, m8!
Best regards and have a nice evening!
Greetz

You're welcome Zeron,
I love this song too that's why I know it so well :)
I even start a remake of the Fairlight cracktro containing it.
Not finished though :(
If you want an MP3 version don't hesitate to ask, but Instant Remedy made a wonderful remake of it.
Check it at http://remix.kwed.org/download.php/36/Instant%20Remedy%20-%20Dr..
You can even look at the Amiga version intro (look the same as C64) at (need flash)

Hell Kamelito, I´m not able to put in words what a great gift you gave to me with this link and what joy you prepared to me!
The remake by Instant Remedy is really fantastic and wakes up my neighbourhood right now :D Did not know anything about this tune...
Thank god for meeting you here! I´m impatiently waiting for your release, hopefully I could get a view on it too :)
Thanx a lot again!
All the best to you!
Best warm handshakes

And if you want to listen to it, and you don´t have the MP3 or SID with you, then just try this to hear it online. ;-)

But there are many really cool versions of this great tune out there!

Little correction.
The version in the Fairlight intro isn't exactly the one from Druid II, cos the coder of the intro (who probably also ripped the music) did a fault, one voice is bugged.
Here's a SID file with the Fairlight Intro version:
