Pink Panther speech sample / Hubbard's Chicken Song in intro
Back in the day I was always short of floppy disks, so it often happened that I deleted files I should have kept. This is about one of them.
One of the things that amazed me a lot in my early Commodore 64 days were speech samples. I remember one particular two-part demo (or rather a demo with an intro) that featured a speech sample from the German version of the Pink Panther cartoon movies. It said "Heute ist nicht alle Tage, ich komm' wieder, keine Frage" (roughly: "Today is not every day, I'll be back, that's not a question"). I used to spend hours loading this demo, just to hear the sample again.
I don't remember the intro part so well. I think there were some moving sprite letters, but I may be wrong. I definitely remember that it featured Rob Hubbard's Chicken Song, because a friend of mine loved it so much.
I rediscovered the picture and sample on the web a few years ago, but not the particular version I remember, which was one file of about 200 blocks.
Does anyone remember it? Does the file still exist on somebody's disk?
Nothing of importance, of course, but it would be nice to see it again.
