Silicon Ltd. is one of my all time favourite groups. Humour, great graphics from Tim, Harlequin and Sander and great design in general. Definitely fun. |

The abbreviation of Silicon Ltd., SCL, stands for Silicon Crackings Limited.
Soon after founding SCL, Git and Harlequin found out that they're weren't that good in cracking and dropped the Cracking in the name.
The C in SiliCon came handy in place :)
After I joined SCL in 1991, I did some cracks under the SCL flag but Harlequin wasn't pleased with that because SCL was demo only.
That's why I started cracking under numerous double, triple and maybe quadruple handles in other groups.
Somewhere in 1992 Git and Harlequin quit the scene.
When most of the early members quit, I decided to crack under the SCL name.
Organization of the group became a mess. Members joined and left not long after joining.
It was for me the main reason to call it quits in 1993. |
