Event id #3154 : Only Sprites Compo 2022
*** Only Sprites Competition ***
Competition Rules (v1.0):
* You can ONLY display sprites - no chars or bitmaps. Magic byte(s) CAN be used.
* Change any VIC properties that you like
* Interaction IS allowed - make it a game if you like (including title, game, scores, instructions)
* Music is allowed and encouraged
* Borders can of course be removed
* No REU allowed
* Entries must be supplied as D64 or PRG and uploaded to CSDb
* Demos, Intros, Games, Diskmags, -ANYTHING- allowed ... so long as only sprites are used through the production
Winner will be chosen based on CSDB votes sometime on 7th March 2022 using a simple squared average:-
((#10votes ^ 2) * 10 + (#9votes ^ 2) * 9 + ... (#1 votes ^ 2) * 1) / (#allvotes ^ 2)
*- these rules are subject to change based on feedback up until 31st January 2022. |

Sure thing, Raistlin!
No competitor should be forced to do BCC upping on her/his own as this is a Standalone compo. I can get the releases over there from here as well, it's not much extra work.
But IF(!) you want a votekey anyway, you're free to up it yourselves :)

How can I finish my 4k sprite only impossible intro in 4 days?
Given there's only 3 entries so far, can we extend the DL by a month?
5 weeks is too short. |

The Ryk was very kind to offer to host the compo at BCC, and use the party voting system, so that’s what we’re going with. I hope all are ok with that.
Basically, please try to get any entries in as early as you can today .. if you’d like to keep the demo a surprise, send them in to BCC - and then feel free to put on CSDb anytime you like. |

Sat 26th, 15:59:59 CET, would be a charm, if you need more time, tell me, and I even try to shift Compo Block in the time table for some extra hours, would be great if you contact me soonish if this would be helpful for you.

Oh my god… I got the deadline of my own demo mixed up. I’m signing the papers for the old people’s home for sure now.
