Release id #179366 : HIRO
So it's been 5 days since the release, and I still haven't received a floppy disk with the answer to the riddle that is the song. I even promised to send the stamps back in the scroll text. ;-)
Perhaps the riddle was too hard, or the whole release was too niche. :)
The song is a tribute to Hiro (Hiroshi Kawaguchi), composer of a lot of music for SEGA, and played in the S.S.T. band back in the day.
There are three covers of other songs in my release. (Part of) the titles of the songs can be used to make up a sentence, along with the title of the demo.
Also note the chord transitions in these songs.
;-)

Very well.
The answer to the riddle is:
"Hiro is big in Japan, anyplace, anywhere, anytime!"
The tribute starts of with the music from SEGA's arcade racing game from 1985 called Hang On. I refer to that sneakily in my scroll text when I say "Hang on, do you see what I did there?".

A melody lead from 1984's Big in Japan (Alphaville) is used in the beginning, hinting at what will follow (i.e. the third part of the tribute is a cover of Big in Japan).

The middle part is a cover of Nena's Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgenwann (1984), but inspired by the 2002 version of Nena and Kim Wilde.

Hang on was in C minor, so I converted Alphaville and Nena to C-minor. The chord transitions are virtually the same for all three songs (!).
It all comes together in my HIRO. And I love it when a plan comes together.
