Depends if you mean parallax with well defined planes or line by line perspective. Speaking of the latter - Coma Light 13 is absolute top.

parallax is not line by line perspective imho.

I define it generally as parts of scroll moving at different speed. But I guess we assume widespread definition that closer planes need to contain elements that obscure further planes?

I have slight deja vu as I surely had discussion like this before :D

and thats exactly what it is ("scrolling parts of the screen at different speed to give an illusion of depth") - no more no less. that is has to be translucent planes moving on top of each other is a common misconception. hence defining what you are looking for is an important part of the original question :)

I liked the artphosis turn disk part for that matter, although i found CL13 scroller more impressive technically :)

For me personally parallax is understood as to have several layers of scrolling (at different speeds). Preferably with overlapping elements - but I guess that's not a must. Thanks for your suggestions, will check them out soon.

I'm quite fond of Inside the Cube, despite the 16Hz update.

This one's cool too :) Excess Intro 07 Fix

But there was something more recent (i.e. done during last 10 years or sth) that also featured mountains/hills, some one-filer. Damn, can't remember...

topic = "...in a demo" :)

Great one. Love how the trees are in front of the scroll, which has a great font to boot.
