Viewing and editing PETSCII files on OS X

I am trying to edit original text PETSCII files on a Mac without converting to ASCII. Has anyone got a working solution for that?

I've tried using 0xED and 010 editors with CBM font (with U+000 range) but it doesn't work for some reason.

I guess I could use VICE and Retro Replay monitor too ;-)

Depends. You can use Magervalp's CGTerm to edit/create serial streams of PETSCII characters, including color codes and all that. Just make sure to set "Echo" to ON. You do that from the menu, which is reached by pressing escape. From the menu you can also load/save the contents of the screen, which means that if you go outside the screen (downwards) you will loose the upper line, and can't get it back, so it is a bit limited. Just one screen at the time, that is.

I have a vague memory that Magervalp also made a petscii editor, based on more or less the same code as CGTerm, but couldn't find that now.
