Levelpacking
What kind of levelpacking would you suggest for a multiload game to make it most perfect with nowadays available tools?
I thought about using Exomizer which can produce un-executable packed files and then some (irq?) fastloader, but which one?
And what kind of depacker to use/code then? I don't wanna peek into other's ocde.
little sub-question: there's the tool Bit'n Color Sort for cleaning up bitmap pictures to reduce it's (packed) size. Has there been released a better tool like that in the meantime?

Exomizer sources include raw/level/mem packed files unpacker sources.
Cadaver's Loader supports exomizer and pucrunch, fast on 1541 and also usable on other devices (even works with vice virtual filesystem).
Covert Bitops Loadersystem V2.0
then you can also choose to use Krill's Loader, repository version 58 or DreamLoad
this one is a powerful pic optimizer by GRG

Also when saving to disk is needed, Magervalp's ULoad Model 3 release 1 is an excellent loader system. |

giving a general advice is kinda hard though, since it pretty much depends on the game what the "most perfect" strategy would be (wether you choose to depack from memory, or while loading, or a combination of the two). |

Alright, thanks for the quick helpful response.
Hope I find some time doing new cracks. |
