I want to come and Offence will bring something for the biggest screen also... if it will be a intro, a text-note or what we really do not know as we have not got into gear this time... I will consider doing a pixel image for the gfx compo... but can not decide if I can do it great in time before in some weeks... No matter what we will all have a blast at X - we are ready to party and not just nerding on hotel and on the site!
PS: Hope many come to pre-x... we will be drunk and jolly! |

depends on the browser, different font rendering (GDI vs Cleartype) I see them slightly bold in Vivaldi but rest of the font are really crappy.

Firefox shows them rather correctly.

OK, Chrome sucks then. I guess Firefox uses fauxbold ;-)
The hack is to inspect the page and uncheck the custom font on the body tag. |

Anyone knows of a hotel in Amsterdam to sleep after the pre-party? The hotel-boat we stayed at last time was fully booked.. by c64-sceners i suppose ;). Presets:
- Walking distance from central station
- Fairly cheap but not dirty ;)
- It has to be a boat or? It's Amsterdam after all.. |

Apart from the directories, our demo is done! What are we supposed to do at the partyplace if there's not going to be any last minute linking involved? |

1) Socialize
2) Drink More Beer
We got a pretty packed program with lots of performances, so I'm sure you won't get bored :)
I actually hope most compo-participants will have their entries ready before the party, so you actually have time to party and have fun! |

Beats me! I was sure we would be in trouble. But no, we have two disc sides, and we started from scratch 10 months ago since we have been pretty much sitting on our asses for the past 20 years. |

Shameless plug: This tune for the roadtrip. Quite whistleable while walking too.
In this song, I tried to capture the sense of anticipation you get while stepping out of the door on a chilly morning, taking the first step of the journey to a great demo party. |

Lovely tune I missed somehow.
To me it sounds like an after party tune, tho. You know, when the credits roll and Randall has been beaten in the music compo. That kind of thing. |

Thank you thank you thank you!
We all worked our asses off the whole weekend, and in return we got 300+ people who did their utmost best to party the hardest.
Besides the long lines at the door (sorry we kept you waiting for so long - we aim to change that for 2018), everything else ran smoother than a snail swimming in snot.
I was pretty drunk by the end of the compo night, but I just wanted to say you guys are all class acts and I feel super pleased with our team. We threw quite the party.
Wow... Still buzzing with an after-X glow.
Pffff. WOW!
With love,

@Radiant and @Shadow, no need to give up! :) There are lots of (64-wise) smaller parties that will be happy to get some more C64-love, and where the competition is not as fierce as at X. And I'm sure we all appreciate releases during the "drier" times of the year as well :)
If it makes you happy to code, just code! Enjoy it :) |

What a blast - thanks a bunch to all the orgas for their hard work!!!
One small suggestion: maybe you could look into making proper name tags next time, to clip on your shirt or something - the stickers lose their stickiness too quickly, when you are changing your clothes, so they tend to get lost too soon. Plus they'll be a nice souvenir, to re-use at other parties even. :)
Oh, and please add Uganda to the country dropdown list at the registration page. ;-) |

Did I write here yet? Hope not. It was a complete kick ass party. We quickly stole the warm room and slept like babies in there, food was great as 2014, the orgas was as nice as ever, and the beer was cold. Great people all around; I met so many old and new friends. I can't wait until 2018.
Also Holland is like 2 months behind Sweden, so the trees was still kind of green and they had warm sunshine to enjoy the few hours I was outside.
Oh. And the releases. I mean. Usually there is at least one or two shitty demos, right? C'mon. Insane!
I love you all, even if I am still a wreck.
