Due to popular belief Crossbow is a myth!

Due to popular belief Crossbow is a myth. All the coding is done by Deekay, and Crossbow is his alter identity to keep all those code related questions at moderate rate. Even some members of Crest were not able to meet Crossbow even being in his hometown multiple times. Crossbow was never available. Deekay? No problem - you can meet him there or on the parties, but not Crossbow. That is the longest, most guarded secret of the scene. Not anymore :) All thanks to some old pricks meeting up and being provided with excessive amounts of alcohol

But but, Deekay has 'only' been a member of Crest since 1993.
A good conspiracy needs better investigation ;)

No, Deekay is not Crossbow.
However I think Crossbow is dead, and they couldn't admit that. So they've replaced him with an automatic tool, which spits out highly optimized code every now and then, but rather slowly, since it's running on a PowerPC Mac...

In 1993 Deekay was added to the memberlist, but it doesn't mean they're different persons.
You point proves nothing!

Crossbow is too elite to mingle with commoners. His shit doesn't stink, it is gold.

Damn. Our best guarded secret is out! 8)
Luckily none of you Sherlocks have any clue that Carrion is in fact S.E.S! ;-D

Funny theory, I think it was fueled a lot by me hacking away in the Hexeditor on the playlist for BluREU on BP... 8)

But several ppl have met him, he *was* on 0a000h some years ago, several sceners that were there can confirm this. And I was too at the same time, btw, so I couldn't have done the Clark Kent Routine and jumped into my Crossbow costume! ;-D

He's not "too elite" or antisocial (anyone on Forum64 can vouch for that I think! 8), he's just *very* lazy to leave his house! ;-D He only came to 0a000h because it was literally like 15km from his home! 8)

So if you want to get xbow to a party, I think the only way is to actually hold it in Stuttgart! 8)

Your statement doesn't really convince me 100%. The seed of doubt is planted...
On the other hand, if Crossbow is a myth, who on earth is the guy on my 'BRAVO-Starschnitt' then? If this all is a fake, I will burn the poster like I did with my Milli Vanilli LPs!

What is, if Crossbow is more than one person.
If he weights 400 kg, this is probably true ;)

But were you both seen in the same location at the same time? :D

If you check out the .jpg in Don’t Meet Crest its obvious Deekay and Crossbow are not the same person.

I'm suspecting that crossbow may have once been a real individual. But something happened, maybe he got abducted by the aliens or smthn. Probably around 1993.

Before he disappeared, he taught deekay all his wizardry. Since then, deekay has been leading a Jekyll and Hyde existence.

I mean, it's too obvious. Deekay knows way too much about code and shit. And everytime you ask him he says "oh but i dont really know anything, crossbow just told me a few things" and then goes on to explain in detail technical stuff like a boss.

Yeah sure :-D

Deekay == Crossbow or vice versa i'm not sure.

Maybe we got it all wrong, in reality its Crossbow who is acting out his artist persona as Deekay.

So, maybe Crossbow == Deekay ?

I'm getting a little confused now. Hmm.

Does it really matter who Xbow is? I mean, so long as Xbow puts out quality, mind blowing stuffs (as always), knowing who the person is just seems moot.
What IF it is DeeKay (nice GFX dude)? How will that change things? If anything, I think the discovery of who this person truly is would scare them into hiding even more, which would suck.

Both Deekay and Crossbow have helped me in the past. Crest fulfilled my request for an NTSC compatible NUFLI engine. For that I am eternally grateful.
If both the men I communicated with are the same man, that is cool. The legend of Crossbow is great. If he is a myth, that is fun too. Sasquatch is a legend we all love. Santa Claus, oh how dear to heart he is for many. The Monster of Loch Ness is elusive. These are all great legends we can continue to enjoy.
Crossbow rocks!

How to become a myth:

1. Do something cool
2. Stay away from the public

It's pretty easy. Except for #1 maybe :)
