Your favourite one-filed demos or games
Just re-discovered Realtime Intro - need more stuff like this!
As for games, non-commercial scene-made gems are preferred. =) |

Amber Cow - truly ahead of its time. Unpacking this and repacking it so it works on actual C64s is still one of my long term project ideas :) |

Games? As in _more than one_? Can't be - there is only Archon +D *SCNR* |

I wasn't aware the C64 game with in my opinion highest replay value had been onefiled : M.U.L.E. . Makes sense, though.
Surely, i am not too studied when it comes to C64 demos/intros, but this very oldschool one stuck with me, probably for the music, simplicity and use of control bytes in the scroller : Ranking |

Not into PETSCII much, but HnT stuff often tickles a sweet spot, and that demo is delightfully weird. :) |

Besides your very own stuff, Krill (choose an arbitrary one-filer made by you and have an instant gem;)), I always liked The Boggman for its sweet symbiosis of music and... "animation" ;) |

Quoting CopyfaultBesides your very own stuff, Krill (choose an arbitrary one-filer made by you and have an instant gem;)) Why, thanks. :)
But as some might have guessed, i'm collecting material for the showcase disks of the next Transwarp version, to be released along the encoder in cc1541.
In Transwarp V0.64 i used some personal favourites then known to me, and also tooted my own horn by putting in all the onefilers i was involved with thus far.
Softwired (PAL) and Softwired (NTSC) will go to the new set as well. =) |

With the use-"secret" revealed it would probably make sense to broaden the horizon - what really NEEDS to be loaded and run quickly within the blink of an eye?
Kaufhaus Demo ! |

Quoting PeacemakerGoatbeard Yes, this is very high on my list as well! The trick with the "virtual" spritelines is still not seen often enough, despite its potential! |

Kaufhaus Demo ! Since Transwarp can play digis while loading, it could even start talking from the very beginning of the load - that is, Krill would have to switch to this fine voice as default :)
Well, not that I'd *really* want that, but... funny thought! |

Quoting CopyfaultSince Transwarp can play digis while loading, it could even start talking from the very beginning of the load There'd be *just* enough time to utter a lewd "Hallo" to the nearest unsuspecting victim of the world's first gay computer... not sure if worthwhile :)
But technically, yeah, there could and should be a new loading tune at some point. It's all quite limited, of course, but 3 types of drum plus a bit of SID 3-voice ringmod synth did work. Could always be better, of course. :) |

Kaufhaus Demo !
Karstadt Demo 1
Though DRM hung around in Kiel at Karstadt a lot, he's also been a great ripper and show-off, so it's hard to tell which one's the original
Edit: DRM freely admits "ripping" in scroll and blahblahs about having PAL-fixed (code playing sample in German not PAL-fix, not sooo likely) it LOL, so it's most definetely not sampled by him |
